Sreeshakti Shantaananda Maharshi

Sreeshakti Saanthananda Maharshi is the founder and managing trustee of Swami Sathyananda Saraswathy Foundation . Maharshi is also the National General Secretary of Sree Rama Dasa Mission Universal Society, National Secretary of Akhila Bharatheeya Santh Samiti (most elite group of about 7000 saints across India) and the patron of Sree Rama Dasa Ashram in USA .

Born in June, 1961, Maharshi arrived at Sree Rama Dasa Ashram at Thiruvananthapuram and met His Holiness Swamy Sathyananda Saraswathy along with his family. Maharshi then joined SRDM college’s very first batch for his course in Economics and completed his Masters in Economics from M G College of Kerala University at Thiruvananthapuram.

A young Brachmachari, then known as Santhosh Kumar was an active student leader and created an organization called INSPIRES and later on was the general secretary of a very vibrant youth organization called YMHA – Young Men’s Hindu Association, that united youngsters across Kerala. From 1992, Maharshi was the general secretary of Sree Rama Dasa Mission.

Swamiji was deeply wounded by the organized media polarization and harm done towards Hindu community in general. As an attempt to uplift the community and to expose the organized media suppression of Hindu news, Swamiji eventually started a news paper called Punnyabhoomi. Maharshi worked as the chief organizer of the news paper constantly traveling across the length and breadth of Kerala since 1995. In 2001, Maharshi became the chief of operations for the news paper.

Maharishi moved to Mysore in 2002 to anchor the mission activities in Karnataka. From 2003, Maharshi inclined more towards adhyathmic life, while continuing to manage operations in Karanataka. Maharshi then started traveling across India.

Maharshi had undertaken massive efforts of coordinating people and logistics for Sathakoti Lalitha Sahasranama Archana that was immediately followed by Sahasra Koti Lalitha Sahasranama Archana. Having worked very closely during his entire life time, Maharshi moved to Bangalore to look after the Ayyappa Swami temple near Bangalore at Huskur.

Maharshi made his mark in the Indian subcontinent by executing a very successful Sri Rama Ratha Yatra from Utter Pradesh to Kanyakumari in 2018 against strong oppositions from some political and religious parties. Swamiji had proudly declared that this journey where Lord Rama was worshiped publicly across India would be the first stepping stone for Sree Ram Mandir to raise again and that he would start the next Ratha Yatra starting from a safe and sound Kashmir.
Both his declarations came true with Kashmir restoring its status as a part of Akhanda Bharath and Ram Janmabhoomi Silanyas meticulously done by the prime minister of India with national honor!

Maharshi is an invited guest for upcoming KHNA 2021.

Maharshi will continue to be the driving force for this temple.
