Homam – Part 17

May 14th is Ravivara, Tithi : Krishna Dashami , Nakshatra: Shatbhisha, Yog: Endra , Karana: Vanija
Homam will start from 9:30 AM CST. Schedule will be Guruvandana followed by Ganapathy Homam, Hanuman Homam, Srirama Homam, Sudarshana Homam, Vishnu Sahasranama Homam and Lalitha Sahasranama Homam, expected to end by noon.
After poornahuti, there will be bhjanas by Carnatic music vocalist and teacher Ramya Karthic from San Antonio. Ramya started learning vocal music at a very early age. She later trained under Smt. Sita Narayanan of Chennai, India. She also received advanced training from eminent guru Smt. R Vedavalli. Ramya was a featured artist on All India Radio throughout the 1990’s. She has been teaching Carnatic vocal music to children and adults for more than 25 years. Ramya also holds a Master’s Degree in Zoology.
