SUMMARY:Sundarkand Parayan
DESCRIPTION:Sunderkand – Fifth Chapter of Ramayana is devoted to Hanumanji and explains his expedition to Lanka and initial victory on Lanka. It is considered extremely auspicious to read Sunderkand. It is said that if one is not able to read the entire Ramayana\, just reading Sunderkand is the shorter solution\, to accomplish whatever one needs in life. \nWe are privileged to get this years religious activities onsite started with the blessings of Swami Ramanand Saraswathy\, commonly known as Dr. Saab. \nDr. Saab\, an ardent devotee of Hanumanji\, has dedicated his life to the worship of Lord Ram and to spread the message of Bhakti. In spite of his busy schedules and invovled work life\, Dr. Saab dedicated every weekend in the last three decades for Akhand Ramayan Path – reading Tulasidas Ramayan called Ramacharit Manas\, non stop in 24 hours and also chanting Sunderkand from the same text. A resident of Washington DC\, Dr. Saab will be flying down to Houston to bless our Ashram and kick off this years functions. We have been lucky enough to have him kick off the functions last year with a very devotional Sunderkand recital\, held at Houston Meenakshi Temple. \nSunderkand recital will start at 10:30 AM CST (11:30 AM EST / 8:30 AM PST / 10:00 PM IST) and can be viewed through our regular broadcast link seen below. \n
