SUMMARY:Sunderkand Path - By Dr. Ramaanand Saraswathi from Washington DC
DESCRIPTION:Sunderkand Path – By Dr. Ramaanand Saraswathi from Washington DC \nSundarkand\, the Fifth chapter of Ramayana features in most versions of the sacred text– Valmiki Ramayana\, Ramcharitmanas (Tulsi Ramayana) and Adhyatma Ramayana. Recitation of Sundarkand is believed to confer great benefits. By removing afflictions\, worries and mental agony\, it infuses new hope\, courage and confidence. Sundarkand is said to usher in prosperity\, luck\, health and wealth to everyone who recites or even listens to the verses. \nThree prominent versions of Ramayana in circulation today are the Valmiki Ramayana\, Tulsidas’ Ramcharitmanas and Adhyatma Ramayana. Of the three\, the textual composition of the Ramcharitmanas\, which has been directly inspired by Anjaninandan Sri Hanuman Ji Maharaj\, Himself with its sanctity endorsed by Lord Siva\, represents the epitome of Bhakti Bhava. \nSwami Ramanand Ji\, an eminent scientist by profession at FDA in Washington DC has dedicated his life towards serving Lord Anjaneya by way of spreading the holy name of Lord Ram. He is best known for his frequent conduct of programmes on Sundarkand and Akhand Ramayan recitations with deep personal involvement and devotion. His weekly zoom-based Sunderkand recitation is viewed and followed by many across the globe. Swami Ramanand Ji has kindly consented to fly down to Houston to flag off the very first Sunderkand event for “Sree Rama Dasa Ashram” in Houston. He will be accompanied by Shri Inder Prabhu of his organization\, International Society for Spiritual Advancement (ISSA) and Shri Ramsradha Prabhu\, both flying in from Chicago. \nRequest you to participate in this very divine function that starts at 2:00 PM and subsequent Sanyasi Sangamam which starts at 5;00 PM in the same hall\, followed by prasadam/dinner. \n
