Ramya started learning vocal music at a very early age. She later trained under Smt. Sita Narayanan of Chennai\, India. She also received advanced training from eminent guru Smt. R Vedavalli. Ramya was a featured artist on All India Radio throughout the 1990’s. She has been teaching Carnatic vocal music to children and adults for more than 25 years.
